Driven by urbanisation, our collective Dienst der Gedroomde Gewesten
explored the landscape of peripheral areas in Kerkbrugge-Langerbrugge.
The slopes and lines of the landscape were our leading guides during four walks. The route was consistently determined by the cables that connect the high-voltage power lines with each other. The walks were documented in analogue photography, sketches and field and sound recordings. This journey through a landscape so obstinately defined by these apparent landmarks, resulted in a soundscape which you can listen to here and a publication which can be read here.

Photo installation at Dienst der Gedroomde Gewesten in collaboration
with Julie Van Kerckhoven. In a search for the palpable border between
the inner and outer city of Ypres, Julie and Louise selected several
coördinates where they individually photographed the surroundings of the city.
The result was a visual exploration of that border, seen from two perspectives.
The installation was exhibited in the Sint-Jansgodshuis, the former city museum, using recycled glass from the museum.
